Riot Games, the company behind League of Legends, has recently revealed plans for its "eSports House" in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), which includes new esports venues and facilities.
The facility, named "Riot Games Arena," is set to open in Adlershof Science Park in Berlin, Germany, and will serve as a venue for both live viewing and broadcasting of professional esports competitions.The arena will host the EMEA League of Legends Championship, the EMEA Valorant Championship Tour, and other competitive events.According to Riot Games' Head of Esports for EMEA, Alberto Guerrero, "Creating a venue of this scale demonstrates our long-term commitment to the continued development of esports for our fans, teams, and players in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This facility will lay the foundation for further success for us in the coming years."It was reported in August that Riot Games' League of Legends esports division had yet to achieve profitability.
